Courage and POIS
« on: June 14, 2017, 01:38:55 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I've been reading the posts in the forum now and then. Recently, I have become more active. I've realised that there is a social stigma around anything related to sex and mastrubation that prevents us from discussing our problem with anyone. We tend to think that there is something "Wrong" with us. I've started to feel that this kind of thinking does not help. There is no point in feeling ashamed of POIS.

When in POIS, I tell myself that "Whatever Does not Kill Me, Makes me Stronger". I try to remind myself that there is nothing wrong with me and have found the courage to look people in the eye when in POIS.

I try to sing my favourite songs which empower me and read empowering literature/books/texts during POIS and try not to cut down on my social activities. Realising that depression tries to make us feel deprived of our dignity and that whatever, I am thinking negative during depression is fake, I get the courage to wait.

Recently, I have felt very positive after starting Auto Immune Protocol (AIP) Diet. I have shared my experience here in this thread: http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2275.0

My message to all is: Don't give up in your fight with POIS. Let's be courageous and win!
