Sameer, since fenugreek has been shown in studies to be helpful for diabetics and since it has helped POIS sufferers you might want to crush up those seeds and swallow some with water. Use a hammer if you have to it doesn't matter and remember to soak them overnight first. Just make sure that they are crushed really well into a powder or paste so there's no more hard seed chunks.

Taking ginger tea, no wheat, fenugreek+green tea/garlic, saw palmetto, niacin, boswellia, huperzine, B complex and nutmeg. See my treatment summary post for more info: http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=81.msg3513#msg3513

Sameer,

If your doctor can't adapt and find a suitable adjustment to your sugar levels, you should go to another one.

We should take a lesson from Cornelius, and remember, we may have POIS AND other health problems. We may have POIS which aggravates other prolems which would otherwise be borderline. Or we MAY not even have POIS, but something with similar problems.

So what I would do in your case, is go find a good doctor, and FORGET about POIS for the moment!! We can't forget about POIS forever, but until you get some of your other issues straightened out, there will be too much confusion.

I'm sure that POIS is the type of thing that can trigger otherwise borderline problems. So these borderline things are there and also need to be stabalized. Later, once we have a good handle on what is going one with ourselves, we can get back to POIS.

We here with these forums are working on POIS, so whether you let it go for a little or not, we will be advancing. You can't solve POIS yourself, and you SHOULDN'T be trying all kinds of things at random to fix it either, expecially if there are other things messing up the equation.

Take some effort to find a good doctor to look at what "OTHER THINGS" you may have. Consider both your physical AND mental well being. Start by telling the doctor that you are very confused about your helath situation, and need someone to give you a good evaluation in all areas and get you straightened up.

When he finds certain things, you can tell if he's a good doctor if he can adapt enough to find things that really work. Sure with POIS, you may not be perfect until we straighten up the POIS situation, but at least you will need to work at getting yourself into a clearer and more stable situation, where all the pieces are on the table and the various situations are more or less under better control than now.

It's like when someone who is really overweight wants to have a stomach bypass, the doctor asks that they go on a diet to lose enough weight so that they can operate. They need to be stabalized first.

Maybe you are not going in for a gastric bypass, but you need to be stabalized first.

You'll have to find a doctor you can trust, and then trust him. There are fewer bad ones than there are good ones, so don;t look at them all as being bad.

Go to see an endocrinologist for the diabetes. I did a little investigation, and it was suggested that you should go as soon as possible! Don't let it lead to an uncontrollable state.

Hi Sameer,

Re: "...I went to doc saying that i am feeling very weak , so he test my sugar level at random it came 310."

I want to echo Daveman's advice.  Whatever else is going on with you -- Pois or anything else -- you have a MAJOR need to be evaluated by an endocrinologist because that blood sugar is dangerously high.  Your situation with this elevated blood sugar is urgent . Please either go back to your regular doctor, or ask for an immediate referral to a specialist (an endocrinologist).

This type of blood sugar reading is not POIS -- it's diabetes that has not been treated properly yet.  It can be extremely dangerous if not treated quickly.

I don't mean to frighten you -- diabetes can be treated easily and well.  But you must get to the right doctor for treatment -- very quickly. Don't try to treat it on your own.

(Also, you'll feel so much better once you get the blood sugar under control.)

Please don't hesitate on this -- get proper medical care ASAP!

If you'd like to get some direction as far as finding the right doctor to go to, please feel free to email me at NORD -- rn@rarediseases.org (everything is confidential there).  Or, send a PM and  advise where you live (state, near what large city -- or if another country -- near what large city), and I'll help find someone for you to
go to.

My diabetes is aggravated and to a major extend triggered by stress.  Reduce your stress levels and get a tester and test every hour until you can figure out the stress related patterns.  And forget pois for now.  Just see what's happening with your blood sugar and monitor how your food intake affects it.  If you are relaxed for several hours and not worried about anything and the sugar levels are still high, you will need to seek medical attention as it is beyond your ability to change it.

Sameer,

Don't play with your meds. Go to an endocronologist and get a proper diagnosis and do what he says.

As Samir says, forget about POIS for the moment and get your diabetes under control. You are not a doctor and shouldn't be making the decisions about medications.

Improperly controlled diabetes is much more dangerous than POIS. It can kill you. I don't want to be alarming but you should be taking this seriously.

Daveman is right.  You need some professional treatment.  If without meds your sugar is high, you need to get some sort of treatment for it, even if it is a massage therapist to de-stress you if stress is the culprit.  High blood sugar damages your nervous system and can cause many issues that lead to a slow prolonged death.  I have diabetic neuropathy from my body's sensitivity to sugar.  It's no joke.  I can barely feel my toes anymore.  It's not fun.
