'Cholesterol lowering drugs helps'
« on: November 30, 2013, 12:13:03 PM »
My doctor said that 1 patient with bladder pain syndrome is cured by cholesterol lowering drugs. After a few months he stopped the medication and the symptoms came back. But after using the medication again the symptoms went away. Maybe this is an option for people with UTI. Bladder pain syndrome is a little bit like POIS.
I am on antibiotics now. But if this doesn't help I will try it too.

Warning: Cholesterol lowering drugs have side effects. So consult your doctor first before taking this medicine.
POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

Want to report that I recently had some blood tests done to check up on my cholesterol. With my diet change I've been enjoying eating much more cheese than ever. But I think I will try shifting my ratio further towards rather eating more fruit and veg cause I suddenly need to lower my cholesterol now.
Although I've been happy to strongly reduce my mental symptoms during POIS (Grain free diet), a sudden discovery of a too high cholesterol level may be taking me one small step backwards again during POIS, but not regarding concentration symptoms but rather with a physical symptom regarding tightness and crampy feeling in chest.

Regular and daily exercise or simply staying active is obviously always important for most of us as we know.
I consider myself pretty much a light weight though!!!

During POIS I'm always tempted to increase eating volume of cheese as an easy option as I easily lose weight.

For me it's still important to daily have sufficient sleep to feel as good as possible.
