Kegels
« on: October 04, 2020, 10:54:03 AM »
Hey guys, I have started to exercise my kegel pelvic floor muscles.  I believe that i have had weak pelvic floor for over a decade since i have a lot of involuntary tensing up while ejaculating/orgasming.  I am hopeful that strengthened pelvic floor muscles will allow for stronger erection, more intense orgasm, more powerful ejaculation, lasting longer (no more premature ejaculation), but more importantly I hope that it will allow for more natural and healthy ejaculation and orgasm.

I remember when i was a teenager, I had an easier time edging and lasting a long time.  I remember it felt like "collecting" or "building up" the neurotransmitters until the moment felt just right, then i would have a truly powerful orgasm and the right hormone/neurotransmitter release would occur.   I haven't felt that in a long time, my premature ejaculation gets in the way and my penis tenses up at the wrong times.

I suspect that these weak, improper, premature ejaculations result in tiring me out, and aggravating POIS

I will update here on my results from kegel exercises

So far I have had mild/moderately positive results.

I am taking my time while masturbating.  I do kegels even while masturbating, when these pelvic muscles are exercised more regularly it makes it easier to relax (so that I do not tense up and premature ejaculate).  This gives more time for the "electric chills" to build up.  Also I wait until it feels like the semen has "loaded up" properly up through my urethra (fills up like a firehose) and then when it feels right I allow it to ejaculate/ orgasm.

My orgasms are still weak overall.

But when I do all of the above, and do not tense up at ejaculation, it produces a more enjoyable orgasm and I hope to return to having the "after glow" that I remember from my youth.  I am not feeling quite as tired or exhausted / depressed the next day.

I will keep practicing this and follow up soon

Does this way of masturbating still result in POIS-symptoms every time?

Too early to tell.  But, i believe that when i have a "premature" orgasmless ejaculation, i immediately feel exhausted afterwards.

My hypothesis is that if i can have a normal orgasm that results in a healthy afterglow, then this won't lead to POIS.

I will follow up soon with some results

Has anyone else noticed that when you have a "healthy" style ejaculation (with orgasm, not premature, not tensed up), it leads to a sore penis in the hours afterwards (or even day afterwards).  I believe this soreness to be healthy

When I have an "unhealthy" or premature ejaculation where I empty my balls without any pleasure, and the semen is thicker, my penis is not "sore" in the hours afterwards but I am left feeling exhausted.

Have you looked into the link between POIS and delayed-onset muscle soreness which was explored in this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8392034/  I think it?s somehow related to your case but not sure

I noticed that when I have orgasm with a great erection I have no symptoms.
Many POIS sufferers have anxiety and have difficulty maintaining a strong erection and often experience premature ejaculation.
In my case, as I never had symptoms when orgasm happens with traditional sexual intercourse (with a partner), I always suspected that there could be some relationship with adequate blood flow to the genital region.
I decided to do some experiments with masturbation. I was very relaxed in a very calm and private environment and I maintained a good erection for a few minutes before ejaculating and I didn't have any symptoms after orgasm, not even the traditional fatigue that practically everyone has after an orgasm (even those who don't suffer from POIS) . As I use Sertraline 50 mg (1 x a day), ejaculation doesn't come as fast as if I were without the medication. So I suggest that you try to start therapy to reduce anxiety, preferably with medication that increases serotonin availability.
It's not a definitive certainty because I had these orgasms with 1 week intervals between them. Maybe if you increase the frequency the result may be different.

Another important piece of information is that my POIS symptoms started when I stopped playing soccer. I used to play 2 or 3 times a week and it went down to once a week and I ended up stopping playing permanently because I had a back injury that took a while to treat. Surely back when I played soccer, I should have had a stronger pelvic floor.

My POIS only happens with masturbation. Normal sex does not generate POIS symptoms. My POIS is related to me mood and the health of my cervical spine. Dopamine/Inflammation/Body constitution (genetics) are factors that contribute to POIS.
