Temptation Resistance Resources
« on: July 10, 2014, 03:46:50 PM »
Many of us suffering from pois unfortunately don't suffer from a lack of sex drive.  In fact, it seems like we are a very healthy group in terms of sex drive.

That being said, sometimes the hardest thing to do is to resist the O.  And women don't make this any easier--sexy leggings, more and more revealing clothing, and the more and more overt sexuality can sometimes be sensory overload.  Unfortunately, for those of us with pois, this means doom.

So what I want to know is what are your resources that you turn to, to resist the O?  What pictures, insight, mantras keeps you pois-free?

For me, I ask myself what I really want--do I want to be suffering from pois?  Or do I want to have everything that makes up me to enjoy every other thing that life has bestowed me?  That usually brings me back...usually...

I recently bought an iPhone app called "Abstain!" that keeps track of how many days it's been since an O (or whatever, really). I like it because it has a list of goals to meet and actively tracks your progress. It's been reasonably helpful.
