Finding a doctor in New York City
« on: September 21, 2013, 11:01:04 PM »
Hi all -

I'm fortunate enough to live in a city with some of the best doctors in the world and unfortunate enough to have the debilitating symptoms that are seemingly caused by orgasms.   I recognize that many of you have gone to doctors but have not had any luck and I also recognize that we have reason to be optimistic with the research grant going through - but I'd still like to plead my case to any doctor that will listen and see what I can learn.

I'm posting because I need some help finding a starting point.   Would an endocrinologist be the best place to start?  And if so, would any endocrinologist do?   Most endocrinologist searches yield doctors who practice obstetrics and gynecology - is there a male equivalent?   Should I instead be searching for allergists etc?

Any input would be great.   Thanks.

daropac, Welcome to POISCenter!

I found a university research endocrinologist who reversed my POIS.

But I might have been just plain lucky. Here's one TRT thread (includes my endocrinologist experience) to check out:

Please also check the Welcome Page for more POIS resources:

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
