Connection to Prostadynia
« on: September 04, 2013, 12:06:31 PM »
I have seen urologists and my general doctor about the issue. The urologists believed that I was really experiencing the physical and mental symptoms of my POIS(physical discomfort and tightness in the base of penis, testicular and bladder discomfort) and general malaise, weakness, and inability to concentrate for long. The symptoms have a tendency to begin an hour or two after ejaculation. The urologist suggested I check out something called Prostadynia. This is general prostate discomfort without prostatitis(bacterial infection). When doing research I discovered that it was common to have the same POIS symptoms after ejaculation with prostadynia. He didn't suggest anything else as no one really knows what causes Prostadynia. Some people take anti-inflammatory drugs or alpha-blockers, he suggested that I continue to see a psychologist. He offered to give me a prostate exam, but I refused. This was probably a mistake.  Does anyone else know of prostadynia?
