One day, we may find a solution for some or most people's POIS. But what kind of solution will it be?

Call me pessimistic but I doubt there will ever will be a cure for every POIS case, since POIS cause and effect seems to differ from person to person.

The ultimate cure would be case-by-case gene editing, maybe in year 2070...

Until then, options 1, 3 and 4 combined together?

You are pessimistic  ;D

Joking aside, there may well be different types of POIS (POIS-A, POIS-B etc). If we can find a reliable test to identify one or more of them, we would be well on the way to finding a cure.

Effective personalized treatment? Sure. One cure to rule them all? I don't see that happen especially when you consider POIS to be a spectrum of illnesses. All of the above plus more, individual or combined depending on the case, where considerable overlap between cases may be present. My two cents.

My two cents.

Personally, I think it’s worth at least...

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

Asking for "effective personalized treatment" for POIS may be overcomplicating the issue. Hundreds of common illnesses can be cured with a single drug - why is POIS any different?

In fact, we already have a single prescription drug that stops POIS for 57% of people, according to a recent scientific study:

I agree with Hurray, not finding a universal treatment can just mean that we haven't found a treatment at all.

You're right Nas. The simplest answer to a problem is often the correct one.

Yes, I think it is  :)

Thanks, hurray, for clarifying it for those of us less theoretically sophisticated! :) :)
