Diverticulitis
« on: October 12, 2020, 10:05:36 AM »
Does anyone else suffer from diverticulitis? I'm experiencing an intense flare up after binging on some pumpkin seeds. Maybe exasperated by the fact that removing gluten from my diet has stopped my IBS-D and made my stools firmer. Anyways it got me thinking maybe their was some link to my POIS and chronic ongoing infection caused by my diverticulitis.

My mum does, I don't know if I do. (I don't know if it is inherited..)

My guess is that you experience some kind of die-off efffect.

I had emergency surgery for a major diverticulitis attack. Wasn’t sure if I’d survive. Colon portion removed.

Dear demo

Never lose your hope. You will survive.  I also had similar thoughts when doctors told my lungs were totally damaged and I will not survive for more than two months.  But  I am still here after 6 months.  Only thing is my weight has dropped to 37kg now and I am mostly bedridden.  Any thing can happen even to healthy people. Just have faith and never give up.
