Asprin with caffeine controls my symptoms which is also a popular treatment for migraines so yes I do think there is a similarity with pois and migraines.

I consulted a neorologist this week who recommended me to take Maxalt (Rizatriptan) an hour before orgasm. This drug is a vasoconstrictor and he believes that the same mechanism that causes post-sex headaches in many people may be the mechanism of POIS. According to him the difference is the area of the brain that is targeted, but also not sure of this because he had never heard about the POIS.
I would like to know:
Has anyone ever had this test: taking a vasoconstrictor medicine for headaches before orgasm and if it had any results?
My POIS only happens with masturbation. Normal sex does not generate POIS symptoms. My POIS is related to me mood and the health of my cervical spine. Dopamine/Inflammation/Body constitution (genetics) are factors that contribute to POIS.

It seems that some researchers think that migraines are caused by an "overexcited" brain, which shows a connection with POIS.

I found this link, perhaps you find this interesting:

Male, INTJ. POIS symptoms: red eyes, ear-pain, anxiety, speech problems, pale/ugly skin, stiff neck, double chin, tinnitus, light sensitivity. POIS even after stimulation without O.
