My 2 cents: Look for a job within the army that relies on less physical activity. You can apply for army officer but there is a risk of burning yourself out in the process.

Are you willing to abstain from sexual activity and recover your body to focus on the duties in the army?

If you only experience the symptoms from POIS fallout and your body recovers during periods of abstinence, you may consider this as a means to get your body on a healthy path to recovery.

If you can't control your urges and feel POIS will get in your way of performance to duties, then it's probably not be the best idea.

I would strongly advise against it. Your health is first. Also as you age you will need to listen to your body more.  I had this since 1993.

It is not a matter of self control to live normally. Do any of us go fully fine if we abstain? Most have to be careful not weaken ourselves other ways. Like exertion, heat, lack of sleep etc.

I think we are dealing with a virus in our testis and CNS. Most likely herpes type like EBV, HHV6. But could also be a Coxsackie virus. If you push your body to extremes viruses take the opportunity to proliferate.  My onset was associated with mono. A neuroimmunologist told me that EBV, the virus that causes mono has an affinity for sexual organs.
Simultaneous onset of CFS and POIS since Feb 1993. Married since 1989.

Helped by Immunocal (I explained how to take in previous posts).  Some relief on day one and day two.  It affects neurotransmitters.
