Soya Lecithin - Dangers?
« on: July 23, 2018, 09:14:55 AM »
I did try soya Lecithin and it seemed to have a good effect on me. Although I have done some research on it and found this article
"While the benefits are impressive there are some potential dangers. The extraction process thats required to get soy lecithin from soya beans uses hexane a solvent that is used in glues and varnishes. Another issue is that is unless its labelled  as organic soy lecithin then it probably comes from genetically modified soya beans"

I know a lot of foods contain gmos nowadays especially in America but not so much in Europe. I just thought some of you may be unaware of the harmful chemicals used in the extraction process of it. So maybe it would be a better idea to use Organic Soya Lecithin Granules. Also I was wondering if anyone had an alternative to soya lecithin for me preferably one which is highly absorbable.

Let me know your thoughts
Many thanks

Soy Lecithin is good, some criticism I believe is legitimate which you already write: extraction process use of hexane and GMO stuff, and some is just pure ideological where I live in US there is opposition to soy and that has permeated various minds and articles you read, like 'oh our kids are being fed soy milk so they become socialists and less aggresive'

so key is to use Non-GMO Lecithin, and to be safe non-GMO Sunflower Lecithin.
