Supplemental pause....
« on: August 21, 2019, 05:14:24 PM »
The list of supps I have been taking is embarrassingly huge. Basically anything anyone has ever recommended to reduce POIS. Well over $1k.  I'm an idiot.

For many weeks now, for large stretches of each day, I have been consistently woozy, light headed and just beat up. In advance of an appt with an immunologist tomorrow I decided to stop all supplements a few days back.  I also cut back on caffeine.  Lo and behold I'm basically in day #2 of no dizziness / head fizzing. Go figure.

For someone that concluded that he was in full time POIS no matter the distance from last O, this comes as a huge relief.  Careful with those supplements folks.  They all look good on paper.....

Thanks for the heads up!
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

Thanks for sharing, OD  :)

You are not an idiot, you are just suffering from POIS and you tried to fill the gap left by current medical science :)

About the supplement break, what you experiment is one of the reason I mostly use the pre-pack method, so I only take my anti-POIS supplements 30 minutes before E, or just after when it was not possible ( like with a NE ).   It keeps the effectiveness of the supplements, and it is also less expensive, and less chance of side effects.

There are some basic supplement I take every day, in low dose, like 1000ui vitamin D, and 250mg vitamin C, but in those case, it is not for POIS, and they do not cause me any side effects.  But, what helps me on a daily basis are my green smoothies and my very healthy diet ( organic food, no chemical, no industrial food, no junk food, no refined sugar, etc...) - these are my daily medicine  :)
