POIS Injuries and Otherwise-
« on: August 10, 2014, 02:18:01 PM »
List all of your injuries, POIS or no relation, just list em...

Most of mine are sports related but they may be from whatever...

Mine are as follows:

1) Broken femur at the hip joint
2) Bruised tail bone
3) Broken nose/deviated septum
4) Bone brush on the left ankle
5) Torn cartridge  in right knee
6) Broke right ring finger
7) Tendonitis in the right elbow
8) Tendonitis in the left wrist
9) Car pole  tunnel syndrome in both hands
10) 2 concussions from a baseball and car crash
11) Missing tooth (knocked out)
12) Left foot run over by a car (bone bruise on ankle)
13) Torn left hamstring
14) Nebulous back problems from all of the above
15) Injured back form scuba diving
16) Broken right ankle hiking (running through the woods off a cliff)
17) Numerous ear infections from years of boggy boarding and swimming
18) Hypothermia twice (once scuba in cold water and once working outside in 10 degree weather for 6hrs)
19) Numerous bruises and scrapes (cannot count)
20 Hurt my back lifting weights (non specific just hurts)

I am and always have been exceedingly physically active but sometimes willing to take risks. And I think an adrenalin junkie from POIS or regardless of. I wonder what of this contributes to POIS or is the cause of besides my high fevers and sexual past.

I have done everything from scuba, soccer, baseball, basketball, mtbiking, swimming, competitive running to any and all wreck-less random sporting activities you may be able to think of with the exception of skating because I have shit balance. How about you guys? Injury prone? Or is it POIS?

I don't know but I am willing to guess and say thins mixed with my health history has added to and caused POIS.

list em... ;)

I don't think it's related to injuries. I only had one operation before the onset of POIS, to fix a hernia right below my belly button.
Symptoms last 6-7 days. Onset of muscle weakness after 30 seconds. Symptoms include: brain fog, fatigue, depression, pale skin/dark circles under eyes,  digestive problems, difficulty taking a full breath, irritability. NONE of these are present out of POIS.

Andy451,

Was very active sports wise when younger, and could list various.

The interesting thing for me was how prone I was to injury when in POIS, which obviously relates to the cognitive / brain functioning piece.

IMO, Unless we are fully present and conscious, it's highly possible we are more open to accidents. Like anyone who takes part in contact sport on a regular basis, you become aware of individuals who seem more injury prone and others who seem to avoid injury, no matter what risks they take.

In my 20's, I was six months out of work, and two months hospitalised after head and facial injuries from a freak sports accident. I am certain that my 'pois like' state contributed to the occurrence of that event and other less severe sports -contact injuries. I did have full pois symptoms 12 years plus, before this accident.

8) Tendonitis in the left wrist

LOL I'm sorry, but the #8 one turned into the "shades" smiley, and just happened to be "tendonitis in the left wrist" and we all here have had a little bit of that know what I mean.... lol sorry

Back to being serious, I have been quite fortunate and have avoided almost any major injuries.

Broken index finger
Partially dislocated left shoulder (hit playing football, and I have hyperflexibility in some joints)
Right shoulder has limited mobility after mountain bike crash caused good deal of damage
Bumps, bruises, grew up playing in the woods.

I had no major illnesses or injuries prior to POIS. It simply started in puberty

If this was a contest, I lost! Hehe
Turmeric and Rosemary 30-45 minutes before orgasm for anti-inflammatory and immune support has helped me a lot. Faster and easier than niacin approach.

For me Tendonitis in the other wrist. ;) ...jk

Prior to POIS I've had a few accidental head bangs from playing. They were hard, but nothing that knocked me out or put me in hospital. I did receive a moderate electric shock right before I experienced my first significant POIS symptoms, and for a long time I thought that was what screwed me up. Then I found out that many others had POIS, so I kind of put that possibility behind. (Basically, I was cleaning a pool filter with a hose when I was 14, and somewhere in the ground near the pool pump was a defective wire. I had no shoes and the floor was very wet and it shocked me. I jumped back and was shaken up, but it was not too severe I guess.)
