Hemeopathy
« on: June 17, 2014, 05:50:18 PM »
I am sure someone in this forum has already talked about homeopathy, and if anyone has ever had any serious positive results from homeopathic therapy? There is a homeopathic treatment center right down the street from me.

P.S. I did manage to find atleast one article in dealing with POIS and Homeopathy, http://abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/359425/

Yup, I do! My POIS-symptoms have been gone for six months! I have written about my experiences on this forum in the thread ?Efficacy of homeopathic treatment?. I see you refer to an article on ABCHomeopathy.com dealing with POIS-symptoms. If you google you'll find more articles. Homeopaths deal with this kind of stuff all the time. I advice you not to take the drugs indicated in the article. Homeopathy is not some kind of herbal medicine. It has it's own esoteric and frankly off-the-wall ideas about disease and cure. The medicine has to match your individual symptoms and personality. For things like POIS one should consult an experienced homeopath. Many people think that homeopathy doesn't work and all positive effect are due to the placebo-effect. I can see their point of view. It is difficult to connect homeopathy with science. I don't think it was a placebo, for example I experienced aggravations (http://homeopathyplus.com.au/what-is-a-homeopathic-aggravation/). So, you should make up your own mind: I went for two consultations and spend 120 euro. Even if it turns out to be a placebo, it's still worth the money. I'm going strong for six months now. P.S: Maybe you have noticed that the website ABCHomeopathy is an online remedy finder. You can select your symptoms and the program will tell you which drug to use. The program only uses very old databases (maybe a copyright thing?), so the advice is probably subpar. I have played with the program a little bit and the advice it gave me was quite disturbing. My advice: only use it as a joke. Also, not the most user-friendly interface.
