Yes, if you have a deviated septum you NEED to have a surgery to correct it. The septum is the bone/cartilage in the middle of the nose and if it is deviated it can obstruct your breathing . In my case, my right nostril was >90% obstructed. So, my body was obviously not getting sufficient air for a very long time. I am about 1.5 months post-op now and breathing is getting better.
I am not taking medication related to the surgery post- op.
I am taking Sertraline (75mg) , it is generic of Zoloft, supposed to correct brain chemicals to treat depression/ anxiety/ OCD etc. I don't think it helped that much but I do get very lethargic sometimes nowadays and I think it could be related to the medicine.
