mast cell stabilizers (anyone tried them?)
« on: August 03, 2013, 09:12:51 AM »
kurtosis was talking about it a year ago.
anybody tried it, or are you still trying different types of anti-histamines with no results?
have you moved onto better and more effective stuff like methylation?

thanks

Hi nomore2013,

Well, without any real (or official) medical understanding or clarity over POIS, most doctors aren't williin to take risks with more complex and potentially controversial treatments. Most sit back with their hands up and say, "haven't heard of POIS, ", and "I haven't seen any testing of such and such a procedure, don't want to risk it".

Many of us have tried the methylation route, and most of those are still here with POIS. This is not to say that it's a bad theory, just perhaps still needs a lot of adjustment. It has worked for some, for most it works for a while, and for others it makes things worse. Most probably the instability is due to the complexity, and proper application. For something like that to work, previous testing should probably be done, to orient dosage and actual components to be used.

Just taking a canned formula that works for one and passing to the rest, doesn't work.

We prefer to wait for the research that we have all worked so hard to produce. It's safer, and more effective in the long run.

So the focus is more in trying to see what we can do, simply that effectively reduces the suffering, without raising false hopes or expectations.

The research is on it's way, and it sounds like we've got some good prospects.

WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!
