Title: Sinus infection, brain ache and mood disturbances.
Post by: Simon66 on January 28, 2021, 11:40:14 AM
I've been taking a break from this website to better understand what I'm dealing with. I've created this new thread to detail what I've learnt.

Those that have read my previous posts may know that everything worsened for me after taking a broad-spectrum antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin. It was like the antibiotic allowed some pathogen to creep into remote parts of my body where it had previously been unable to get into.

Before the antibiotic, my left sinus cavity would painfully swell if I slept in a room with the windows closed or radiator turned on. It feels like whatever was lurking in my left sinus (but never my right sinus) has now taken hold in other organs like my brain, kidneys, gut, eyes and ears.

In addition to hot conditions, I can also trigger the sinus swelling with sugary foods.

If I drink 3 large glasses of orange juice, the sinus pain subsides after a few hours. It's the only thing I've found that works.

What I've also found is that a few days after having severe sinus pain, I can sometimes have a day where my mood is great but my skin breaks out in spots. In that short but happy moment, could it be that I have temporarily dislodged the pathogen and my brain can function properly? Usually, I feel very agitated and have a sense of impending doom so these very rare happy days are intriguing.

I am still unsure if this pathogen is the cause of my systemic problems or if it is just opportunistic passenger. I'm posting this in the event that anyone else has the same working theory. This time, I'm not going to crowd this thread with weekly experiments and will post back only when I've found a definitive cure.
