So I have read a lot about POIS but I really don't know what to do since everyone is saying different things, I know that is because science has not discovered the cure yet.
I had a NE after a while, I was feeling great before but now I'm worried again, I actually forgot about POIS for some time, as this should be, but now I'm feeling the symptoms again.

I feel that NE makes me feel the symptoms with less intensity as I would if I ejaculated while masturbating, in fact if I masturbate my arms will hurt later since I need to grab my penis that is not near my hands, so making the same move makes my articulations hurt after a while.

One of my eyes got irritated, everyone noted this and also a friend noted me anxious, I feel like a lot of my energy is taken away and I start to think more in sleeping even if I can't sleep as well as I when I don't have POIS symptoms. It makes me more asocial, I try to socialize anyways, but I don't feel secure about myself. I'm also less expressive and I kind of feel less emotions.

When I'm with the symptoms I feel my mouth very dry, my eyes are also irritated, and my brain has several fog, I feel that POIS is like a drug or something since it really feels that way. My respiration is much worse, I feel that sometimes I breath slower and when I make sports, much faster, my throat is dry and irritated, such a disgusting thing!!

I have asthma but I feel I only have it while I'm on POIS since it only appears when I make sports while on a POIS period.

My lips are also irritated and they look more red, I hate that since it kind of looks like I applied some rush or that stuff.

My eyelids also look tired.

My muscles feel tense (specially the ones in my back), the only way to get some relief is by making sport.


I really feel this thing is related to excessive masturbation and porn since when I was 14 I masturbated everyday basically and with porn. I remember having anxiety every day, feeling tired, I was getting late to school every day, I was demotivated and lost. Then I figured out it wasn't normal and it was related to masturbation, It wasn't easy to stop that bad habit.

I also got a bit of scoliosis for masturbating mainly with the left hand, and my penis is rotated permanently (like someone describes here https://www.reddit.com/r/sex/comments/5jjxkr/penis_problems_my_penis_is_rotated_will_this_be_a/), maybe this causes my POIS? One of my testicles is upper than the other.

After ejaculation I also feel inflamation in my prostate, is harder to pee even, I have more desire to urinate while in POIS and in the same time is much harder.

When I ejaculated after masturbating, my penis is half-erected during the POIS period (mainly because of the prostate inflamation) and is really hard to urinate. When I have a NE I have less of that but my penis feels weak and my balls kind of hurt more, specially the one that is upper.

The last thing I will tell is very disgusting, I feel a weird digestion and my stomach and intestines swell, It's harder to poo because of the prostate, my gases smell horrible and my shit even changes it composition, it sticks more in my body, It is really disgusting.

To have relief I have some water drops for my eyes, the asthma inhaler (doesn't help that much) Mentholatum, a Blistex for the lips and I had some ashwagandha supplements that relief a bit.

I had POIS from early but I think the excessive masturbation make it worse or something, It really is a factor, also some people mention to have had a lonely life and that have been gamers, I also played a lot so the sedentary life might have created this situation.

Other people say it's psychosomatic, I feel that is that but also an autoimmune disease that generates some disbalance in the brain. Brain fog is the worst and weirdest part.

I still have hope since a new research is being made, and I got a gf, I'm more worried about POIS because of that, I hope to find a cure. Pls help

Pois is not caused by excessive masturbation or porn but it can aggrevate conditions both mental and physical. I didn't masturbate daily or week matter in fact my POIS peeked when i didn't masturbate for a long time. I think i always had POIS but not as bad, it peaked around 2012 after i abstained for almost one whole year.

1. Minimize all stimulation wether people, enviroments or technology
2. Reduce all dopamine quick fixes such as social media , technology and  TV
3. Don't sit for long periods of time, especially behind computer.
4. Nerves cannot repair themselfs when they are constantly stimulated aside from tech ology minimize use of caffeine, chocolate or any natural or synthetic stimulants.
4. fix your diet, keto wether raw or cooked keto diet, raw meat or raw veggies. Meat is nutrient dense  so always include meat. Raw carnivore diet is best

5. Adjust to lower temperatures, lower temperatures slow nerve signaling and lowers inflammation and allergy response. Dress light in winter, take  cold showers, winter swimming etc.
6.Reconnect with nature if you want to heal natural you need to be part of nature. Reason most people get ill is because they are disconnected from nature. Sitting inside house does 0 for healing
7. Go to bed early always
8. Start sungazing early morning or  during sunset to  correct your circadian rhytm
9. Avoid tapwater unless filtered
10. Include lots of fermented foods like sauerkraut, kefir. The high histamine content may make allergy worse short term.

11. Abstinance from any orgasm or porn...you can edge once a month if you need to...or maybe once every 2 weeks, it depends on  the person. With a fleshlight you can control your edging better than with your hand ( inr accidental unwanted orgasms etc)
12. Get good with using your tongue on girls...girls like oral stuff, if you are skilled enough some girls don't want a anything else.
13.Cut out all toxic people from your life
14. Avoid emotional stress and never worry about small things
15. Constanly invest in  your psychology and inner development

ABOVE all never overtrain or train hard...if you train hard and get pois your ruin your body.

The only way is to abstain much as possible and take allergy medications like diclofenac(cycle) or anti histamines. Pois also develops over time some symptoms dissappear and new ones emerge. If i get an orgasm or sometimes just  erection(if its long enough or it too many in short space of time) i get severely ill for a whole week. I have all kinds of tricks to avoid erections both mental and pharmaceutical.

Guts, I like the theory, alot of it is inline with what I think is necessary to reduce symptoms.
Does fasoracetam work for bad brain fog.

Well, now I understand that a lot of what I have done in my life could have leaded me into this. I loved hot and long showers, I love technological stuff, videogames, Computers, etc. And most of the time I'm in home. My diet wasn't the best as a kid, too much dairy, not many vegetables.

The hardest thing is to avoid sexual urges, as a young men I start to think in sexual stuff like once a week, specially when I'm more energetic, I think in having sex even if I know that I will get POIS.

I would like to have a normal life just like others :/

Once you follow these steps POIS would be gone?

Iv'e said it once and ill say it again. POIS, for me atleast was caused by a leaky gut and the ingestion of inflammatory foods. Me and several members have had complete remission after the elimination of these foods. Iv'e been POIS free for 1 year and 8 months solely through implementing a keto/carnivore lifestyle. Eat tons of bread and sugar and you'll have mild POIS symptoms even if you dont ejaculate. Problem is, many think that diet is the last causal factor behind POIS or they struggle to adapt to a strict keto regime.
