I have recently had some blood work done and it was right after a week of multiple Orgasms. Of course, I felt horrible for multiple days and things are finally calming down but what was interesting is that my blood marker - Absolute Eosinophils was through the roof. reference range was 15-500 cells/uL and mine were sitting at 1126 cells/uL. Doubled from normal. Huge Immune response. Was it from POIS? I believe so because I am currently not sick with anything that I know of. I will repeat the blood work here soon and see what happens and was just curious if this has been recorded? I've search the forum and didn't find anything concrete. Maybe I missed it. Thanks.

Interleukin-5 affects proliferation of eosinophils. I would repeat the experiment and ask your doctor to check for IL-5. Did you measure absolute eosinophils on both ocassions when you were symptomatic and when you were less symptomatic to make a comparison? I’ve seen many eosinophil count test results from POISers but an overwhelming majority of those are negative.

Or their activity is higher than normal. There are unique activation molecules for eosinophils like ECP, which is btw a more reliable marker for allergic activity than IgE.
