One recipe that I'm very sure of having positive effect in improving cognitive symptoms of POIS is white radish soup.
I remember when I was young, my mom cooked white radish soup with chicken.
Every time I drank it, my cognitive symptoms are lessened.
It is still working now when I'm eating outside in restaurants.
The effect is immediate.

Obviously, white radish also plays a role in regulating blood sugar (similar to fenugreek/garlic/spinach) as well as blood pressure.

Interesting. There is a condiment that actually helps me from a cognitive aspect that I take often take with meals and its not white radish, but related to it, and that's horseradish. Wasabi is nearly as good as well. A quick read off the medicinal benefits of horseradish, lists...'helps the liver's ability to detoxify, 'has antibiotic properties', 'has compound which stimulates blood flow'.
