I recall as kid I often had ear/neck/stomach infections often and seemed to colden my ears when being outside even in summer
However as I hit puberty I got sick less often with them and barely get sick as I grow up, last time I was sick in 2020 February was when my POIS temporarily disappeared
Could childhood ear/neck/stomach infections have something to do with POIS?

Well i had a lot of infections aswell (ear, tonsils, lungs, nasal cavaties) but since pretty much any condition like POIS somewhat weakens the immune system i would have expected such.

I had recurring severe pain in my ears as a child and was diagnosed with ear infections and given antibiotics many times. Suspect this wrecked my gut microbiome.
There was no lab work done to establish the diagnosis I think. So it could have been just inflammation.
My immune system throughout my life has been very effective wrt fighting off common infections like the common cold and the flu.

Did you take antibiotics since you first felt POIS ? I'm curious.

I did take Tetracycline against acne in my early twenties. I'm not sure when my POIS started, but I think it was around the same time. I've not taken any antibiotics since then. I'm 41 now btw.
