Does anyone have any idea how many people are actually affected by POIS? Or how one can go about measuring the overall size of the afflicted community? I ask because I believe I've found a solution to POIS...

Hi Jaga,
POIS is a "Rare disorder", so the prevalence is very low, lower than 1% of population, and often less lower than that, going to less than 1 tenth of a percent, or even counted in number of known cases worldwide for many rare disorders.
"In the United States, a condition is considered “rare” it affects fewer than 200,000 persons combined in a particular rare disease group. International definitions on rare diseases vary. For example in the UK, a disease is considered rare if it affects fewer than 50,000 citizens per disease" ( from: https://globalgenes.org/rare-diseases-facts-statistics/ )
In the case of POIS, we only have 650 members, worldwide, after 8 years of existence of poiscenter.com . I suppose we are, for sure, under a half of a percent, and probably lower, but nobody knows. If 'known cases' are those talked of in published medical articles, we are maybe at around 70 known cases in the world, officially, with the major part coming from the 45 subjects Dutch study by Waldinger.
On top of that, there is more than one sub-type of POIS, and no one solution works for every cases. So, even if your solution is working for you or someone you know, it may not work for others, and surely not for every cases of POIS.
So, you would be better keep your job :) You will not make any significant money with your POIS control method, no more than I do with mine ( maybe 3 or 4 other members had success with my pre-pack method and are using it, after 3 years that I shared it here.). You can freely share you solution here and it may help a few members getting a good level of relief for their POIS symptoms, and that is probably as far as you can go with you finding, but it is already great if you help some POIS sufferers.

After *11* years of existence, if we count our predecessor, NSF, where Daveman, Stef & I decided to leave there and start POISCenter. We left - including key posting contributors - because fundraising was against NSF rules. We then succeeded in raising $35,000 (amongst ourselves!) for a NORD Grant.
Just a historical tidbit :) :)

Quantum, you had more members’ successes than those with my TRT treatment, reported since 2008 - - after 10 years that I shared it :)

I think between 1000 and 1500 Pois sufferers on the internet.

Interesting, b_jim!
You have been researching internet POIS sufferers for more than 10 years!!
Many thanks for your estimation.

jagatheflesheater, belated welcome to POISCenter!
If it’s not too proprietary, can you say any more about your solution?
Thank you,
Demo

When im looking at reddit.com/r/NoFap/ with there 340 000 members then i think at least 10% of them have POIS also when I think about how hard it is to get from
"I feel very bad after orgasm" to finding out about pois then even a 1% of the world would not wonder myself.
But its all just guesses.

interesting observation. ur logic is solid, I think some1 should make a post on that thread about POIS.
yeah yeah I can do it but man i think demo or quantum would be better suited as they are more ambassadorial like =) and I tend to scare people off with my autistic nature =P
