Title: Important results of my brain QEEG test may be related to POIS or vagus/nerves
Post by: emirnazim on April 28, 2018, 06:39:01 AM
3 years ago due to my fatigue ,poor concentration , over sleeping and memory problems i personally did a QEEG test of my brain(without any request from doctors ) . so what is QEEG ? This test is reccomended fOR ADHD suffers generally .
Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) is a procedure that processes the recorded EEG activity from a multi-electrode recording using a computer.the other name can be  BRAIN MAPPING  . or  a MAP  of brain that shows us levels of our brain activity in each location of our brain . Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG) processing techniques and the use of modern analytic software to processes the EEG/qEEG gives us the ability to view the dynamic changes taking place throughout the brain during cognitive processing tasks, and this novel approach can be used to assist us in determining which areas of the brain are engaged and processing efficiently.the results were interesting . because of its abnormal results i did it in other place in order to make sure that the results is true and accurate .
but the results were nearly the same .  ::)   i want to share my own QEEG TEST results and i think this data can be very useful for US  POISERS  and  researchers . HERE is the  test result text :
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
this EEG og EMIR , 26 years old , was recorded by MITSAR amplifier (19 channel) and CLINICAL Q assessment in three conditions :  Eye closed , Eyes open , and during cognitive challenge . the findings were following  :

1- his EEG was LOW VOLTAGE . this pattern is not necessarily abnormal  (however ,question about alcohol consumption).
Hence , relative power rather than absolute power must be interpreted .

2- ALPHA   blocking was not observed  .Alpha power was low especially at posterior site .

3- Alpha Peak  frequency was also  LOW at  Cz.

4- THETA/BETA  ratio was LOW in both  EO and  EC conditions at  O1.

5- Percentage pf Theta /Beta ratio from EO to EC was LOW .

6- Theta/SMR ratio is HIGH  at Cz .

7-HIGH BETA/BETA ratio  is HIGH at  Fz.

Abovementioned  patterns  are correlated to :   Mental Sluggishness , Visual memory problems ,sleep difficulties , probe for poor stress tolerance ,  '' RACING'' thoughts , anxiety , inefficient self-quieting , OC tendencies , inability to sit still or quiet body , busy brain .

Neurofeedback + Cognitive  training is recommended .

as it turns out , there is a locations of brain that  have not sufficient power . also the voltages that recorded  is LOWer than normal. LOWER  Voltage  is related to consumption of alcohol  or thickness of SKULL (may be)  (OR can it related to POIS?)))) ........in addition i should say that i dont consume alcohol . now that i became familiar with POIS , i suppose that this  DATA may be connected to the POIS  >:( ::) :)    or  POLY VAGUS theory . i dont know . im interested to know your Points of views  for this results .
or  know that are any one here that took this QEEG befor ?  could it be a common symptom in POISERS  or that is my own personal situation . any view ?    thanks

Really interesting emirnazim. I really believe that this describes most of us (certainly, it describes me), when I am having POIS symptoms:

"Abovementioned  patterns  are correlated to :   Mental Sluggishness , Visual memory problems ,sleep difficulties , probe for poor stress tolerance ,  '' RACING'' thoughts , anxiety , inefficient self-quieting , OC tendencies , inability to sit still or quiet body , busy brain ."

We still have to see the scientific validity of this method (qEEG) for our case, as scientists are still discussing whether it is a valuable tool to diagnose brain conditions or psychiatric disorders. It seems that it is pointing in that direction, though.

You can find more info here:

There should be a separate category on this forum where people can post their results, like this one. It doesn't help us when there are snippets of medical info from patients distributed over several categories.

Thank you Muon. Yes you are exactly right . i had problem if which category should i share this post   im interested if could you please tell me which category is the true place in order to write our medical test results? :)   thanks for your notice

There is no data/test result category at this moment. I had the same problem of picking a category when I had to post a thread of mine. Perhaps the mods/admins can look into this.

Thanks Muon for bringing up this topic, I will discuss it with the other mods.

Very interesting emirnazim,
Can the slow brain activity correlate with a condition of brain inflammation, that it is caused by inflammation ?

Thank you for your notice Nas

i think so Nas . but i dont know whether these are engaged together or not . but i m hoping these all of abnormalities will related to pois and when we find a cure for this POIS  ,all those of bad things vanish all together  :D ;)
