Title: Weather: How does cold and rainy days effect you?
Post by: less_fogged on February 10, 2016, 10:55:28 AM
I'm convinced that cold and rainy weather makes it more difficult during POIS recovery days. It makes me feel more sleepy and lazy. I need to do more effort to stay alert. An increase in brain fog can occur, like as if sometimes one would have had an extra mini NE at any moment of the day.

I'm sure in general for me at least, with this type of weather or even if feeling cold at night while sleeping can also more easily lead to NE's.

Perhaps something occurs when the temperature is changing from warm to cold.

Previously I know to also have mentioned being ultra-sensitive to frequent urination when cold, especially during POIS. This has somehow reduced over time. Perhaps due to my diet change...though Ive also managed to abstain longer.

It's either raining or damp and also cold again, leading to feeling a bit fogged again as well as fatigue. Quiet typical for me!!!
Anyone else?

As soon as the sun comes out I usually slowly recover again unless I'd give in to another O. Then I'd obviously worsen myself again to another more severe level.

I hate this!!! I'd do almost anything to get rid of just this alone.

I'm convinced the temperature change is effecting my hormones.

Same dam scenario over and over again...my body is telling me to just go to bed and if I dont I probably end up building up adrenalie making it harder to actually sleep later on. But if I sleep now I'd also mess up my sleep routine. There's just no easy way out of this.

All I can do is remain calm, keep busy and breath to waste these annoying times.

Yes, rainy gloomy days affect me as well. I believe POIS is caused by a nerve inflammation somewhere and moisture has negative effect on nerve inflammations. It's not a question of temperature - if it's cold but sunny and dry, I recover from POIS faster. It's the moisture.

This is a summary of the effects the different weather conditions have on me

- Sun and hot conditions (Above 30ºC)- Bad, increase of brain fog, anxiety.
- Sun and mild conditions (Between 20º-25ºC)- Excellent
- Sun and cold conditions (Less than 15ºC)- Not too bad
- Cloudy and hot - Brain fog
- Cloudy and mild- Bad mood, irritation
- Cloudy and cold - Apocallypse  ;D
