Title: Mouth Guards and Tongue Depressors
Post by: FloppyBanana on August 01, 2014, 07:19:33 PM
Hi,

Check out first the first ten minutes of the below video. It seems that many patients with neurological dispositions are able to stop taking drugs which have side effects by either using a mouth guard or Tongue Depressor. The position of the jaw and pushing your jaw or tongue at a different angle can drastically alter neurological responses in the brain.
The video details one individual who has Dystonia who is restricted to a wheelchair but with one of the mouth pieces was able to straighten legs and arms and stand up.

TDCS is also an interesting part of lecture.

My symptoms of POIS include a very stiff jaw (for what its worth)

Check these videos. Perhaps sleeping with mouth guard could reduce POIS. I thinking laterally here (out of desperation)
