Does POIS Affet the Sexual Life?
« on: September 29, 2012, 06:19:07 AM »
Hi All,

I believe I am the only Pakistani member of this forum so far. After a continuous research and treatment period of 9 years, I am glad to come across this platform.

I have been suffering from POIS like problems since my age 15. I felt tired, dumb, block headed, depressed, dizzy, nausea, indigestion, short memory lost, nervous to any new thing, totally silent and many more like it. It all happens after ejaculation, sometimes, I have 3 or 4 ejaculations within an hour. Don't have control on the temptations, visited many physicians of different expertise, different Urologists as well, but of no use. Some called it heat in my digestive system, some called psychological problem, etc.

I am 24 now, I have become hopeless about the treatment. This is because in spite of trying many different things, I have always ended at the same point.  Now, I am trying to get myself used to it and prepare to spend the whole life with this condition.  One question that often comes to mind is that does POIS has effect on the sexual life? On the erections? Does it cause premature Ejaculations? Does any POIS affected person face issues in the satisfaction during sex?

Can you please help me out on this friends?

Thank You.

For releif, try looking at what seems to be working for a lot of us!

Yes, POIS seems to have a relationship to premature ejaculation and / or erectile problems for some of us. Beleive it or not you can actually have
problems getting an erection AND premature ejaculation at the same time!

It's maybe not a problem for every one of us, but I would say that it is more prevalent than in a normal person.

WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!

Thank You Daveman for the reply.
After going through your message, I feel the life is going to be tougher for me as I am also suffering from premature ejaculation problem, though no problem in having erections. Does it mean that I would need to use Viagra for the whole life unless someone genius finds the cure of it?

One more thing I would like to add is that When I am under the effect of POIS, I act just like a stupid, no common sense, can't rightly judge what to say, when to say or do. It is destroying my personality and impression on others. They think I am a crack who one day becomes a perfectly normal and the other day, he is shockingly abnormal. One thing I have noticed is that when I get my head fully wet, the effect of POIS decreases to almost none, but it comes back as quickly as my hair get dry again. Any idea?

Usually have major POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks associated with it.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business.

In part, and I say "in part", premature ejaculation comes from the anxiety and low frequency of sex combined. We can't have sex or orgasm every two or three days, so our sensitivity is higher. If we have an orgasm once every two weeks, it's not the same as having one every two days. If you have an orgasm every two weeks, you are less "horney" and it's much easier to go longer. Sometimes, you become so accustomed to orgasm that it is even hard to 'cum'!

But once every two weeks, and the pressure of having to perform or the pressure of what will happen AFTER, makes  you MUCH more sensitive to premature ejaculation.

And of course there are biophysical elements involved. I am sure that my taking the B-Complex vitamins gives me more stamina even though I am MORE horney!

Maybe you don't know, but we are gathering donations to start a research program. It's an extremely professional program, and I am certain, will lead us to a solution.

So there is lots to do still, and we don't have the solution for everybody, but we're getting there. Niacin and the B-Complex vitamins help many, testosterone others... the research will help to give us the closing chapters.

WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!

Ohh, I didn't think anyone else had results from wetting their head/hair. I feel almost like my brain overheats, and cooling it by making my head/hair soak in water helps bring some clarity. It doesn't help very long though, like you say, as soon as it dries, the brain fog returns full on. The effect is most noticeable when i smoke weed, since weed allows me to tune in to my thoughts. Often i find when smoking that during brain fog my thoughts are actually racing, too many thoughts at the same time, and somehow smoking slows everything down.

Hi I am from Pakistan too.
I guess I feel some of the POIS symptoms too but they are not as severe as some of the people here.
I feel heavy headed for about a day after ejaculation and have hard time remembering simple tasks. I am getting very weak. Have popping(cracking) sounds from backbone and joints especially knees. I can not exercise hard couple of days after episode but in a week everything becomes normal
I experience guilt and have a really deep sleep after ejaculating but still feel tired. The thing I am most worried about is Premature ejaculation during masturbation. I cum really fast I mean within 3 to 4 minutes.
When I ejaculate during sleep these symptoms are barely noticable
I am suffering from these conditions since puberty and now I am 19 years old. I have never been in a relationship and gradually getting more and more distanced from girls.
I dont know how rest of my life will go. I am really depressed and worried about my future.
This is my first post on any forum.
I have no Idea what to do. Any advice will be of great help.
Currently I have abstained from masturbation for 4 months

Sorry for any errors in typing

One thing I learnt is that long term absolute abstinence can have a worse effect than moderate abstinence. I found that if I abstain for maybe 1-2 weeks, then have sex with someone I feel comfortable with (girlfriend/bestfriend), and I don't allow myself to feel guilty (since the sex was special), then I don't feel such strong POIS. It is clear to me that my state of mind just before, and just after sex, influences my POIS, so if I feel secure afterwards, with cuddles and stuff, the anxiety, inflammation, and pain, is less severe, perhaps because it is the anxiety itself that amplifies the symptoms of POIS, so less anxiety means less POIS. At least, this is the case with me.

So what do I do to cope with POIS? Weed with cigarettes often, but I feel that more than one cigarette makes my anxiety, and consequently my POIS, worse. For me, weed and cigarettes balance each other out. In addition to that I also consume herbal tinctures: Camomile, Passion Flower, Devils Claw, and Chaste Berry. I can tell you with certainty, that the Camomile Tincture works well at reducing anxiety. I'm not sure if the others do anything, but the placebo effect may be helping.
