Hi Dan,

Thanks for the links.

Totally in line with my post, this January, about monosodium glutamate :  http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2416.msg20374#msg20374

Thanks for the reply! Sorry for that kind of a double post... it is also related to that topic: http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2458.msg20925#msg20925

But I thought because there is even a name for that syndrome I give it an own topic. The symptoms seem to be very similar to what I am experiencing. I start to believe the root of the problem could be the imbalance of gluatamate and GABA levels. I am going to try a strict anti MSG and free glutamate diet and I will try to raise GABA levels with the help of Phenibut and Taurine. Theanin is already part of my daily regime. Maybe I will add Rhodiola Rosea as well again. I will report about the results...

Maybe this link has been already posted before. Just another hint that Gluramate and GABA balance could be one of the main factors of POIS.

Interesting article, POIS 2011, thanks for the link.

My personal experience is that L-theanine is very good against POIS emotional symptoms.

Being also a mast-cell stabilizer, it helps as well for overall inflammation in the body.
