Could Depression be an Allergic Reaction?

(1/1)

Wow! Is it just me or does this sound right in line with what a lot of us experience?

Excellent article, NMTA.

It is exactly in line with what I think is at play in POIS, an hypersensitivity reaction that trigger a cascading productions of pro-inflammatory cytokines, triggering many metabolical events leading to distinct clusters of symptoms.

The study cited in the article, like http://www.jad-journal.com/article/S0165-0327%2808%2900479-5/abstract, are very interesting as well.

In my case, supplements that cut the chain reaction of cytokine productions are very beneficial for my POIS, especially if I take them 20 mins at least before release.  Quercetine, a mast-cell stabilizer and anithistamine, and TDO inhibitor, is very useful for me, and safe.  IDO inhibitors are useful for me too ( curcumin, Rosemary extract,...).  And so on ( I already have given detailed at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2090.msg16604#msg16604 ) .
